My name is Marie aka Mumma Tea. I love tea and Im on a mission to get tea cool again. I don't like a lot of tea fuss and pomp and still would always choose a tea bag over loose leaf. Tea gets you up in the morning, it comforts you, its good for you and its great with a biscuit or two!
Born in Norwich im a norfolk girl and love the outdoors, adore my welly boots! and have been a massive fan of the Darling buds of May since.. forever! Also love creating and making and entertaining. I left uni with a degree in prop making and set design and went into the Film industry for 7 years as a prop maker and set dresser. Loved it! Working on some great films, Star Wars, Batman Begins and Bridget Jones to name a few.
Along side that I ran for 10 years a Childrens Entertainment company "Giggles Entertainment" which is still running today. Organising and entertaining children's events for up to 300 children at a time for clients such as Barclays HQ, Mattel, Intercontential Hotel group and not forgetting the village halls!
Then i became a mumma to Vincent !
I built the Tea Vintage Travelling Tearoom in 2012 inbetween my baby son's lunctime naps and took it straight to our first festival "Carfest"
From the moment we opened and I saw the queues going around the marquee and down the field I knew (excuse the pun) "something was brewing!"
Tea Vintage was born and has grown into a fun, entertaining catering events company and tea supplier.
We have served 15 people at baby showers, provided afternoon tea for weddings to serving and singing to thousands at some of the largest festivals in the Uk.
The overwhelming fact Ive learnt on my tea travels is that given the choice, people will choose tea over coffee.
Now with our own 10 varieties of tea blends that we launched in June 2014, we are ready to bring good quality, non snobby tea to everyone in Britain.
